University of Gastronomic Sciences

HomeUniversity of Gastronomic Sciences

The University of Gastronomic Sciences of Pollenzo, founded and promoted in 2004 by the international association Slow Food with the collaboration of the regions of Piedmont and Emilia Romagna, is a non-state university legally recognized by the Italian state.

If Italy is recognized as one of the main cradles of gastronomic culture in the world, we can say, without fear of being contradicted, that Piedmont offers a heritage of food traditions among the richest on the peninsula.

It is no coincidence that an association such as Slow Food was born in these hills, the most important institution in the world for the promotion and defense of food culture based on respect for the environment and human rights.

From this inspiration comes the University of Gastronomic Sciences, a small university in the hills of lower Piedmont, which every year attracts the most sensitive and motivated young people from all over the world to offer enthusiasm and creativity to renew the production chains, distribution and marketing methods, which allow us to put good, clean and fair products on our tables.
